ALEXA SMART PROPERTIES
Privacy Management
Echo devices do not make any audio recordings.
The administrator of the Control Panel has access to analytics data showing the quantity and type of interactions with Alexa. However, this data cannot be linked to a guest’s name via the NAVOO Control Panel, only to the room number from which it originated.

Wake Word
Echo devices that allow interaction with Alexa are always listening for the wake word “Alexa.”
A built-in microphone detects when the word is spoken. Only at that moment are the microphones activated to capture the audio signal, which is then sent via the internet to cloud systems for processing.
To prevent the Echo from activating, a dedicated mute button can be pressed. When activated, the device lights up red to indicate it is no longer listening, even the word “Alexa” will not be heard.
NAVOO Tools Do Not Store Personal Data
Some data may be automatically forwarded from the Control Panel to external software, such as property management systems (PMS). In those cases, any association between Alexa’s collected data (e.g., “I’d like wine in the room”) and the guest’s name is made by software already used by the property, and subject to its own privacy policy, which the guest agrees to when staying at the facility.
All tools provided by NAVOO (including the Control Panel used to manage guest requests) cannot be used as systems that store or extract personally identifiable data linked to guests.
Each Echo device comes with a user manual that clearly explains how guest privacy is protected, ensuring full transparency.
