Set up and install Alexa Smart Properties

Do You Manage a Hotel, B&B, or Vacation Rental?
Activating the Alexa Smart Properties service and installing Echo devices is very easy, and you can do it without needing NAVOO’s assistance.
The Control Panel will guide you through every step of the setup and activation process.
Accessing the Control Panel and configuring the services and information provided through Alexa is completely free.
You’ll only start paying once you activate the monthly licenses.

Access the Control Panel
Click the button below to reach the Control Panel sign-up page. Click “Sign up” and fill out the required fields. Choose a strong password and save it in a secure place. Use a valid email address, you’ll receive a verification code by email, which you’ll need to complete the registration.
After entering the code, the page will refresh and you’ll be able to access the Control Panel.
Create Your First Property
In the Control Panel, click the button labeled “Create a Property” to get started.
A property refers to a single hospitality unit, such as an apartment, vacation home, B&B, or hotel.
If your property has multiple rooms (like a hotel or B&B), you’ll be asked to create those later.
Each page in the Control Panel includes a “Instructions” button to guide you if needed.
Enter Basic Information
To create a new property, you’ll need to provide some mandatory basic information.
A step-by-step system will guide you through the process, entering details such as the property name, its address (needed so Alexa can give location-based answers like weather or traffic), number of rooms, and other useful information.
Once everything is entered, your property will be created automatically.
Edit Preloaded Information
Alexa will act as your virtual concierge, so it needs to provide accurate and relevant answers about your property’s services.
Every new property comes preloaded with standard content, which you can edit and expand.
The system guides you in entering all the details you want guests to know, like how to connect to Wi-Fi, house rules, available services, extra charges, items provided in the room, nearby attractions, restaurants, how to sort waste, and more.
You can write in your preferred language, and the AI will help correct typos and translate the content into other languages.
Set Up the Rooms
If your property is a single apartment or vacation rental, you’ll probably install just one Echo device in the living room, no need to divide it into rooms.
If you manage a B&B or hotel, you’ll need to create the individual rooms in the system.
This allows guests to make specific requests (e.g., “Alexa, I need a towel”) or report issues (“Alexa, the shower isn’t working”) without mentioning their room number.
Staff also benefit, for example, they can say “Alexa, the room is clean” and you’ll get a real-time notification.
You don’t need to enter all rooms, just those where Echo devices will be installed.
Each Echo can be linked to only one room, but a single room may have multiple Echo devices (e.g., one in the bedroom and one in the living area of a suite).
Purchase Echo Devices
Now it’s time to purchase the Echo devices.
You can buy them from Amazon, other retailers, or directly from NAVOO.

Activate the Subscription
The moment has come 🙂.
You’ll need to activate a subscription for each Echo device you install in your property.
You can pay by credit/debit card or direct bank debit. The subscription renews monthly and can be canceled at any time.
If canceled, the Echo device will revert to standard mode (no Smart Properties features), but all content you’ve entered in the Control Panel will remain saved.
You can reactivate the subscription whenever you want (e.g., for the next tourist season), and you’ll still have full access to the Control Panel.

Link Echo Devices to Rooms
You now have everything you need: rooms created, Echo devices ready, and an active subscription.
You can now link each Echo to a specific room.
Once linked, the device will operate only on your property’s Wi-Fi and will provide all Alexa Smart Properties features to your guests and staff.
Print the Guest Manual
Not everyone knows what Alexa is or how to use it.
In the Control Panel, you’ll find a printable (and optionally laminatable) guest manual to place near each Echo device. This way, even guests who are new to Alexa will know how to interact with it.
Place Alexa in the Rooms
Place the Echo devices in the rooms, plug them into a power outlet, and you’re done!
From this moment on, your guests can ask Alexa for all the information they need, and benefit from all the features you’ve enabled through Alexa Smart Properties.
Analyze Data and Improve Content
In the Control Panel, you can access a dashboard showing how often Alexa is used and what the most common guest questions are.
You can update and enhance the content at any time to keep improving the service.
